This small semi attached townhouse in Queens NY was originally built in 1963 and has stayed in the same family ever since. When inherited by its newest owner, the house needed major updating and new style to welcome in the next generation.

The basement (pictured above) was given extra ceiling height by excavating the foundation. A full bathroom and kitchenette were also added to create a true multifunctional garden level space.

The main living room (pictured above) was completely opened up and given pops of color in the decor. Cork flooring was used to soften the look and give a soft feeling under foot.
